Deep Listening – Night Swimming: Queer Poets Edition

Thursday 20 September 2018, 7-9pm

Location: Walpole Bay Tidal Pool, Cliftonville CT9 2JN

Put together by OSE associate Katie Fiore, the first iteration of DEEP LISTENING will take place at Walpole Bay Tidal Pool in Cliftonville. The theme of this month’s DEEP LISTENING is queer poets – we will listen to readings from Kathy Acker, Audre Lorde & Maggie Nelson and end the session with a deep swim and listen to Arthur Russell.

Please bring swimming gear & any aural materials you would like to share related to this month’s theme. Hot tea and head torches will be provided (Swimming is not compulsory).

DEEP LISTENING sessions are a chance to meet & for sharing, listening, and being together in the world. DEEP LISTENING sessions are relaxed and open sessions which encourage us to listen to our environment and to each other. Deep listening sessions are part of the tools for a visionary future series run by Open School East Associates and visiting artists.
