Wish You Had Been There series: A PORTRAIT OF ARTHUR RUSSELL
A screening of the 2008 documentary film about the life and work of the seminal avant-garde composer, singer-songwriter and disco produce
Arthur Russell. The film also documents the wider cultural scene in 1970s and 1980s New York and the liberating social, political and aesthetic possibilities explored in its underground discos.

Wish You Had Been There is a series of recordings and documentaries of missed-out-on events, replayed in the Reading Room and programmed by Eva Rowson.

Continues fortnightly on Tuesdays at 6.30pm.
