About the YAP

The free, 10-month long and accredited programme seeks to create a high-quality pathway for local young people with artistic aspirations, towards a creative career and/or higher education. Through the programme and interaction with leading international practitioners and industry professionals, the Young Associates will develop life skills and confidence, alongside knowledge and techniques in art and design forms such as graphic design, music production, printmaking, sculpture and furniture design.

The YAP continues OSE’s commitment to increasing equality of access to education and to making the arts a more open sector. The programme aims to work particularly with young people who experience disadvantage or face challenges in mainstream education.

For more information, please contact Laura Owen, Head of the YAP at: laura@openschooleast.org or by phone at: 07511 159 644.

The Young Associates Programme is made possible through funding from Colyer Fergusson Charitable Trust and Freelands Foundation.
