How will you be assessed?
Through a programme of creative assignments, one-to-one tutorials, group work and self-evaluation.
What may it lead to?
A creative career or further education in art and design.
About the YAP
The Young Associates Programme will run three days a week (Tuesday to Thursday) from our home at the Margate Adult Education Centre on Hawley Square. Students on the programme will work towards a Level 2 diploma in art and design, alongside functional skills in Maths and English.
The programme will be a place to develop knowledge and skills in art and design as well as to interact with world class artists, designers and industry professionals. You’ll get regular opportunities to showcase your work and to develop creative projects in and around Margate.
The YAP tutors are artist Nicolas Deshayes, fashion director Cynthia Lawrence-John, graphic design studio Kellenberger–White, textile designer and printmaker Yemi Awosile, designers and makers Adam Willis and James Binning of architecture collective Assemble, artist and musician Dan Scott and artist and filmmaker Adam Chodzko.
We are keen to hear from everyone who is interested and are flexible with entry requirements so get in touch.
